I’ve always lived with lots of animals, from small
animals like chameleons and rabbits to bigger barnyard animals like chickens
and horses. I enjoy their ways of slowing down and getting ready to sleep
every night.
One evening as I was closing my chickens in their coop so they would be safe, I began to wonder, how do wild animals make a cozy place to sleep, especially in the winter when it is cold and snowy? I decided to write a simple picture book that showed how several very different animals made warm, safe sleeping places.
