Super Short

Elizabeth Partridge is the award-winning author of non-fiction books for teens. Her latest book, Marching for Freedom (Viking) focuses on the courageous children who marched alongside King in the 1965 march to Montgomery for the vote.

Elizabeth Partridge is the award-winning author more than a dozen books. She’s a National Book Award finalist, and has received the ALA Michael L. Printz Honor Award, the Boston Globe-Horn Book Award, and the SCBWI Golden Kite.

 

Her latest book is Marching for Freedom: Walk Together Children and Don't You Get Weary (Viking, 2009). Elizabeth has chaired the National Book Award committee for Young People’s Literature and is a frequent

speaker at national conferences for teachers, librarians and writers.

Elizabeth Partridge is the award-winning author more than a dozen books, from picture books to young adult nonfiction to photography books. Her books include the biographies John Lennon: All I Want Is the Truth (Viking 2005), This Land Was Made for You and Me: The Life and Music of Woody Guthrie (2002 Viking), and Restless Spirit: The Life and Work of Dorothea Lange (Viking 1999).

 

Elizabeth is a National Book Award finalist, and has received the ALA Michael L. Printz Honor Award, the Boston Globe-Horn Book Award, and the SCBWI Golden Kite. I love researching and writing books, both fiction and nonfiction. I'm fascinated by courageous, artistic people. I also love to speak at schools and conferences.
